# Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of **AuraCV** (auracv.net) and related services. By creating an account, signing in, or clicking **Accept** on our consent banner, you agree to these Terms and our [Privacy Policy](./privacy-and-popia.md).

## 1. About AuraCV

AuraCV provides tools to build CVs, discover jobs, track applications, and use AI-assisted career features. Some features require a paid **AuraPro** subscription.

## 2. Eligibility

You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for ensuring information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to upload any documents (e.g. CV imports).

## 3. Your account

- Keep your login credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Notify **support@auracv.net** if you suspect unauthorized access.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose security risks.

## 4. Acceptable use

You agree **not** to:

- Upload unlawful, misleading, or fraudulent content in CVs or applications
- Impersonate others or misrepresent qualifications
- Scrape, reverse engineer, or overload our systems without permission
- Use Auto-Apply or bulk applications in violation of job board or employer terms
- Attempt to access other users' data
- Use the service for spam or harassment

You remain solely responsible for every CV and job application you submit.

## 5. AI features

AI outputs (grades, suggestions, match scores, Tokugawa replies) are **informational only**. They may be wrong or incomplete. AuraCV does **not** train AI models on your personal data for model development — see [Privacy Policy](./privacy-and-popia.md).

AuraCV does not provide legal, immigration, tax, or medical licensing advice.

## 6. AuraPro & payments

- **AuraPro** is billed via **Paystack** in ZAR unless stated otherwise on the Pricing page.
- Subscriptions renew according to the plan you select until cancelled.
- Refunds follow Paystack rules and checkout terms shown at purchase.
- Feature availability may change; see [AuraPro guide](./aura-pro.md).

## 7. Intellectual property

AuraCV software, templates, branding, and documentation are owned by AuraCV or its licensors. You retain ownership of **your** CV content. You grant AuraCV a limited license to host, process, and display your content **only to provide the service** (including AI processing you request).

## 8. Privacy

Your use of AuraCV is also governed by our [Privacy Policy](./privacy-and-popia.md), including POPIA compliance, secure storage, no sale of personal information, and data subject rights. Official POPIA information: **[popia.co.za](https://popia.co.za)**.

## 9. Disclaimers

The service is provided **"as is"** to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee interviews, job offers, ATS acceptance, or uninterrupted availability. Job listings may come from third-party feeds; verify details with employers.

## 10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AuraCV and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including lost opportunities or reliance on AI suggestions.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under South African consumer protection law.

## 11. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will post the updated version in the Help center and may ask you to accept again via the in-app banner. Continued use after effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

## 12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the **Republic of South Africa**, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes should first be raised with **support@auracv.net**.
